Kanye West reaches an agreement with tech company that sued him for $20M after claims he stole their ideas

Kanye West has reached a deal to end a lawsuit with a tech company who accused him of stealing their ideas.

The 44-year-old rapper and MyChannel agreed to a joint stipulation of dismissal, and RadarOnline.com reported both parties are set to pay their own legal fees.

The company also agreed to dismiss all claims against the Stronger hitmaker after initially suing West for $20million.

MyChannel originally filed the lawsuit in August 2020, and claimed Kanye told them he admired the way their tech used artificial intelligence 'to incorporate e-commerce in video content' and planned to use it on his Yeezy website.

The firm allegedly sank a large sum of money and more than 10,000 hours of work into developing a program for the singer, only for him to back out of the deal after six months.

The incident prompted a rift, and MyChannel accused him of stealing their idea and using it for his Sunday Service shows without payment.

MyChannel originally collaborated with the Grammy-winning artist in 2018 in an effort to boost sales of his Yeezy line.

The company's attorneys previously claimed that, although the rapper never paid for the services, he promised to provide an investment of $10million, which never materialized.

MyChannel also claimed that the performer had the company move its headquarters all over the country on several occasions before the end of the partnership.

They later sued Kanye for a total of $20 million and requested a jury trial.

West denied all wrongdoing with regard to the legal issue, and the case was most noticeable for his controversial deposition.

The rapper refused to answer questions about the case and stormed out while wearing a Jesus Christ mask over his face because he'd claimed the lawyers had no right to see his face.

The 10-minute Zoom meeting saw Kanye call the lawyer questioning him 'boy' 12 times and describe himself as a 'mental genius-ness.'

Before abruptly leaving, he declared he was the 'richest Black man in America and a Black Trump supporter.'

The hitmaker also remarked that 'he couldn't be bothered with the deposition because he had lives (and diets) to change.'

MyChannel immediately went back to court demanding West sit for another deposition because of his conduct in the meeting.

He recently agreed to sit for a second time, but that will not need to happen now that the confidential agreement has been reached.
