5 Surprising Reasons You Have to Pee all the Time

Peeing all the time can make your life a nightmare. It can keep you from getting enough sleep every night, make traveling less enjoyable, and prevent you from concentrating on one thing for long.
According to the Cleveland Clinic, the average person should urinate four to eight times a day.
Unfortunately, some of us take too many trips to the bathroom. Sometimes it’s due to minor factors, like drinking lots of water, other times it’s a sign of a serious health condition.
Below are surprising reasons why you have to pee all the time.

1. YOU MAY BE DIABETIC

Peeing frequently is one of the early signs of types 1 and 2 diabetes. The high blood sugar levels in your body force the kidneys to work harder.
When your kidneys are overworked, the excess sugar passes to the urine, along with fluids from your tissues, according to the Mayo Clinic. As a result, your bladder fills up faster.
Diabetics also tend to have excess thirst, which leads to high fluid intake. And as you know, the more you drink, the more pee.

2. YOU MAY HAVE A URINARY TRACT INFECTION (UTI)

Peeing frequently could mean you have a bladder infection. UTIs usually cause inflammation and irritation, which makes you feel like you have to use the bathroom all the time.
Note that infections in other parts of the urinary system—such as the urethra, ureters, and kidneys—can also make you pee frequently.
See a doctor if you suspect you have a UTI. Waiting it out can worsen the infection.

3. YOURE MAY HAVE ANXIETY

Have you ever noticed that anxiety makes you want to pee? In fact, research shows that 48 percent of people with an overactive bladder have anxiety symptoms.

4. YOU MAY HAVE AN ENLARGED PROSTATE

An enlarged prostate can put pressure on your bladder, making your brain think you have to pee even when your bladder is not full.
When an enlarged prostate puts pressure on the urethra, you may have trouble starting or stopping the flow of urine. You may also have a weak stream.
If you think you have an enlarged prostate, talk to your doctor.

5. YOU MAY HAVE UTERINE FIBROIDS

Uterine fibroids are noncancerous growths that grow in and on the uterus. Like an enlarged prostate, they put pressure on the bladder, making you pee all the time.
These growths can also cause other problems, such as painful sex, painful periods and heavy bleeding.
I hope that you’re peeing frequently due to a minor factor, like drinking too much water, but be sure to see a doctor if you suspect it’s due to a serious health condition. In the meantime, use these natural remedies for frequent urination.
