The $100MILLION border wall graveyard: Shocking footage shows miles of unused steel lying in desert near Rio Grande after Biden cancelled ALL contracts to build it

New video reveals dozens of stacked columns of steel worth $100 million dollars left to rust after President Biden canceled plans to build a wall on the US-Mexico border.

The footage, obtained by drone by Fox News, reveals enough material to build hundreds of miles of border wall going unused in Pharr, Texas. The steel columns have already been paid for by taxpayers.

In July, it was revealed that the Biden administration was wasting $3 million per day to not build the border wall.

The costly per day amount is going to contractors to guard all the materials – like steel and concrete – that are lying around in the desert for the project, according to a report from Republicans for the Senate subcommittee on Government Operations and Border Management under the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. It also went to paying out contractors when the project were just on pause.

On Day One, Biden vowed he would stop building more of former President Donald Trump's famed border wall, despite appropriations already being sent to the Department of Defense for the project.

Since he took office on January 20, 2021, Biden's suspension efforts have 'cost taxpayers between $1.837 billion to $2.087 billion,' according to the report by Ranking Member James Lankford.

Over the weekend, the Department of Homeland Security canceled the last of the border wall contracts agreed to under President Trump.

The decision came amid a record number of migrant crossings at the US-Mexico border. That move came two months after the administration canceled two contracts that spanned about 31 miles on the border in Texas.

In June, the Biden administration returned about $2 billion designated for the wall to the military.

The Trump administration completed around 453 miles of new and replacement wall, with another 300 miles planned or under construction.

'Building a massive wall that spans the entire southern border and costs American taxpayers billions of dollars is not a serious policy solution or responsible use of federal funds,' the White House Office of Management and Budget said at the time.

Last month a caravan of about 30,000 Haitians made their way to the US border. Tens of thousands more are reportedly making their way as they flee economic devastation, political corruption and the fallout from an earthquake in August.

DHS officials are preparing for a 'worst case scenario' this month where as many as 350,000 to 400,000 could try to cross the southern border, particularly if a judge suspends the Biden administration's use of Title 42. The coronavirus public health order is the policy used most often to expel single adults.

The Biden administration has rolled back its enforcement of the policy somewhat to allow exceptions for unaccompanied minors and some families with young children.

Last month, the Biden administration appealed a federal ruling halting use of Title 42 on families with children.

In May, DailyMail.com captured footage of unused construction materials for the wall.

Dozens of trucks and diggers that once crawled over rocky mountainsides are now parked in deserted construction zones in remote parts of Arizona.

Huge piles of steel fencing and other construction materials, including pipes, lie stacked on the ground.

Remnants of the old border wall that was in the process of being replaced also lie discarded in areas ranging from the Coronado National Monument to Guadalupe Canyon and the Pajarito and Patagonia Mountains.

Evidence of how construction was immediately abandoned is also clear in places like Del Rio, Texas, where small barricades have been erected around half-finished sections of the wall and large diggers remain motionless.

Del Rio was supposed to include a two mile section of the border wall. So far, just a couple of hundreds yards have been erected. Pictured above is an abandoned digger that has been fenced off after Biden paused construction
