VERY generous female diner pays for 60 strangers' lunches at Pennsylvania diner and generously tips the servers - before vanishing without leaving her name

An anonymous woman is being praised for her act of kindness after she paid for 60 strangers' lunches at a newly reopened diner and also generously tipped the servers.

Lorrie Renninger, 57, from Hegins, Pennsylvania, waited on the customer last Monday during a packed lunch rush at Country Diner in Hegins Township, where she has been working for the past three years.

'I waited on this lady, and it was time for her to pay her bill, and she came up to the register and said she would like to pay for everyone's bill,' she told local ABC affiliate WNEP. 'I'm like, "Are you sure?" and she was like, "Yes."'

The server said the amount came to roughly $350 after they totaled up everyone's bills that afternoon.

The kind-hearted customer also tipped Renninger and fellow server Kayla Canavatchel a total of $100.

'When everyone found out, they were just like, "Wow, that's like really shocking," and I'm like, "That was really nice of that woman to do that,"' Canavatchel told the news station.

Canavatchel, who was waiting on other tables when the woman came in, said the generosity was appreciated by everyone, especially at a time when many are still facing financial hardship amid the pandemic.

'It was really helpful if you know what I mean,' she said. 'When money's tight, a kind hand goes a long way.'

Renninger explained that even though the diner is open after temporarily closing last year due to COVID-19, there are still challenges they are working to overcome.

'Business has been up and down. Even though we're opening, we still can't get the help, you know. We had to do reduced hours,' she said.

'I'd like to say thank you so much. You made our day, and it's wonderful that you do that,' Renninger said.
