California sheriff refuses to enforce vaccine mandate on staff because government has 'no authority to mandate your health choices'

A California sheriff has pledging not to enforce President Joe Biden's planned vaccine mandates on his employees and claims the government has 'no authority to mandate your health choices'.

Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco made the announcement on a recent episode of his podcast, RSO Roundup.

'As far as I am concerned I will not mandate a vaccine for employees,' he said. 'I will not make it mandated for any new employees to be vaccinated or any current ones.'

Bianco, who says he has previously gotten COVID, says he is distrustful of how information has changed throughout the pandemic.

'It has absolutely nothing to do with politics,' he said. 'I've been involved with the COVID crisis, if you want to call it that, from the very beginning. One of the things about law enforcement, all we really care about are facts.'

'When information changes from one interview to the next, red flags go up,' Bianco added.

He claimed that he 'can't get over' that the lockdown periods went from two weeks to a month, two months, four months and then six months.

'Then it went to the curve is flat but we're still going to have this things be in place,' he said. 'Then the vaccine came out and we're learning the vaccine may not be as effective as we think it is,' he claimed.

A recent CDC report, however, has said that the unvaccinated are 11 times more likely to die from COVID-19 than those who have taken the vaccine.

'What bothers me about this entire issue is everyone tells me that I don't wanna believe the science. They're not believing the science because one thing that's negating the science is that if you already had COVID, which I did and I got over it which 99.875% of the people get over it and everything is fine, your natural immunity provides far more protection than a vaccine.'

Statistics show that about 202 million of the people who have tested positive for coronavirus have recovered from it, out of 226 million, an 89 percent recovery rate.

Bianco ultimately settled on the idea that his job is not to protect people from viruses.

'Part of government is not keeping you healthy,' he said.

'My personal opinion: if I felt that I had to keep you safe and arrest you if you're not safe, I'd stop you from drinking and selling soda, alcohol and cigarettes, all the things that we love, and make you healthy. I would force you to exercise and eat right and build up that immune system,' Bianco added.

'I am certainly not anti-vaccine; I am anti-vaccine for me.'

Bianco claims that the press has taken his podcast out of context, using 'cherry picked' comments from 'supposed' health officials 'in an attempt to paint me and the Sheriff's department in a negative light.'

'This is nothing but sensationalism trying to gain readership and further divide us as Americans.'

Bianco has also been heavily critical of California Gov. Gavin Newsom, refusing to enforce Newsom's coronavirus stay-at-home order last year.

'These closures and stay-at-home orders are flat-out ridiculous,' he said.

He also trashed the Democratic governor as 'hypocritical,' referencing the photos of Newsom last fall dining in a high class restaurant with no mask on and surrounded by people from outside of his own household.

His is not the only California police department against the vaccine mandates.

The Los Angeles Police Department filed a federal lawsuit over the weekend to overturn the city's COVID-19 vaccine mandate.
