Moment angry LeBron SHOVES fan who asked for photo at Usher concert: Critics accuse Lakers star of overreacting and 'assault'

Video of LeBron James shoving a fan who asked him for a photo at an Usher concert has sparked fevered debate on Twitter.

The Los Angeles Lakers superstar appeared to have been at the concert with his wife, Savannah Brinson James, when the fan approached him.

In the video, he appears taken aback by the fan, who quickly ran up to him moments before Lebron shoves him away and security intervenes.

The video went viral over the weekend as critics accused James of overreacting.

The NBA legend immediately received criticism throughout Twitter, with many fans questioning whether his reaction was the best choice

'That's literally assault,' wrote one critic on Twitter.

 'Jordan would never,' wrote another.

While some fans might've been hard on James' demeanor, others came to his defense.

'Likely shouldn’t run up on a man in the dark, in a pandemic while he’s with his family. Any respectful person would respond very similar,' one defended Lebron.

'He did what security should've done. Next!' wrote another.

Just last week, the LA Lakers announced they're adding All-Star point guard Russell Westbrook to their roster, after agreeing to a deal with the Washington Wizards for three players and a first-round pick in Thursday's NBA Draft.

This is the second time in three years that the Lakers have made a significant offseason trade.

They acquired Anthony Davis from New Orleans in 2019 for Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart and three first-round draft picks.

Westbrook is the league's career leader in triple-doubles with 184 and gives the Lakers another playmaker to pair with All-Stars LeBron James and Davis.

Los Angeles won the NBA title in 2020 but struggled during the second half of this season when James and Davis were both out of the lineup due to injuries.

James and Westbrook are already friends having won an Olympic gold medal together at the 2012 London Games.

Even though the trade isn't official for another week, Westbrook took to Twitter to thank Wizards fans, with one of his tweets ending: 'I will forever be grateful and appreciative of my experience with the organization. Thank you!'
