Judge Ketanji Onyika Brown Jackson
Imagine our shock.
The Trump campaign’s libel lawsuit against the Washington Post was assigned to radical Obama judge Ketanji Brown Jackson.
The Trump campaign sued the Washington Post on Tuesday for libel over “false and defamatory statements” about conspiring with Russia, Fox News reported.
The suit cited two separate garbage ‘Trump-Russia’ opinion pieces published by the Washington Post.
The Trump campaign is seeking millions of dollars in damages.
Trump campaign's libel suit against the Washington Post was assigned this morning to Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, the Obama appointee who upheld the McGahn subpoena. Not a great draw for Team Trump, but not a suit likely to go far w/most judges— Josh Gerstein (@joshgerstein) March 4, 2020
Ketanji Brown Jackson is a radical judge who has ruled many times against the Trump administration.
In November Ketanji Brown Jackson ruled that Don McGahn must testify to Congress about his time as Trump’s White House counsel.
Last July Judge Ketanji Jackson temporarily blocked the deportation of two migrants who claimed the Trump Administration’s new “lesson plan” for asylum officers makes it harder to prove fear of returning to their home country.
Her ruling was so radical that Acting US Citizenship and Immigration Director Ken Cuccinelli slammed the activist judge.
“If judges can go after lesson plans, what’s next…. the route I take to work?” Cuccinelli said in response to Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s decision to undermine the Trump Administration.
And now Trump’s suit against WaPo is in this judge’s hands. Seems fair.
