California Democrat Gov Newsom Blames Trump Admin For Plight Of Homelessness In State

California Gov, Gavin Newsom’s state is falling apart at the seems when it comes to the plight of homelessness.
In some of the state’s biggest cities like Los Angeles and San Francisco there are entire communities of people living in tents.
And like any good Democrat the governor is not taking the blame himself, or even giving it to his predecessor, former Gov. Jerry Brown, but blaming President Donald Trump’s administration.
“California is making historic investments now to help our communities fight homelessness,” the governor said last week. “But we have work to do and we need the federal government to do its part.”
Newsom claims that California is waiting for “very important material” from the administration before it is able to dole out $500 million is aid.
But the material that he is waiting on is the Housing and Urban Development count of how many homeless people there are in his state, The Daily Wire reported.
“Newsom claims that, without those numbers, he can’t release more than $500 million earmarked to abate the systemic problem,” it said.
“California conducted those counts months ago, however, and merely sent the results to the government to certify.
“And, as Newsom said in his own remarks, he reserves the right to release the funding — or, at least to accept applications to spend the money — before the federal government issues any official numbers,” it said.
But let’s talk about reality. A reality that liberals like Newsom do not want to address. And it starts with decriminalizing things like using the bathroom on the sidewalk and then hiding it.
Just last week, prior to the Democrat Presidential Debate, residents near Venice noticed that the homeless camps were cleaned up, likely to avoid embarrassment.
“They usually have, along Grandview, all kinds of homeless people in tents and everything,” resident Andrew Mollenbeck said to KFI.
“It’s completely different,” another local told the station. “For the most part, the city does little to nothing to combat that unless there’s a media spotlight on Santa Monica, and/or Venice.”
And then there are the Democrat policies like raising the minimum wage which has caused some California restaurants to close recently, leaving people with no job and no wage.
“The wages are definitely a heavy pressure on us,” restaurateur Phil Courey, who had to close his business due to the hikes, said. “About 40 grand a year every time they jack up the minimum wage.”
“California is a rough state to do small business,” Paul Fraga, who closed his restaurant, said. “They want everybody to make $20 an hour, but for the smaller guy, I can’t afford that.”
“We close our doors one-by-one, Perry’s after 50 years, today Fat City and others…you’ll see a few more closing just after the first of the year,” he said.
It is a ton simpler for Newsom to blame President Trump, Republicans or paperwork than it is to look at his and his Party’s own policies and see who the culprit really is.
