Starbucks customer, 25, is left disgusted after a 'grotesquely unprofessional' barista scrawled 'Hippo' on her Cookies and Cream Frappuccino cup

An admin-worker from West London has been left appalled after a Starbucks barista wrote 'Hippo' on her order, rather than her name.
Nadia Khan, 25, from West London was visiting the coffee chain's store in Feltham, London, where she ordered a cookies and cream frappuccino.
To her surprise, when the order was completed she found that the cup, which traditionally bares the name of the person who makes the order, was returned with what appeared to be the word 'Hippo' on the side.

Speaking to The Mirror, Nadia said: 'When I got my drink, I noticed 'Hippo' but I dismissed it as really bad writing.'
Despite initially dismissing the name tag on the drink, Nadia's mother, Andria, was much quicker to anger, 'going absolutely ballistic,' after seeing what was written she confronted the staff member directly.
Nadia said: 'Mum told him he should treat customers with respect, no matter how skinny, fat or whatever.'

In response to Nadia complaining the name was 'grotesquely unprofessional', Nadia has now received an apology from the company.
A spokesman said: 'We have a longstanding tradition of connecting with our customers by writing their names on our cups.
'This incident is not indicative of the welcoming environment we aim to provide in our stores, and have apologised to the customer directly.
'We are working closely with the store team to ensure it doesn't happen again.'
