CNN hosted a seven-hour climate hysteria event on Wednesday and Democrats went hog wild. By the end, they’d called for bans on plastic straws, red meat (especially cheeseburgers), incandescent lightbulbs, gas-powered cars, airplanes. They also want an end to fossil fuels, oil drilling, fracking, natural gas exploration and coal plants, along with nuclear energy.
But in a hilarious twist, the ads CNN played during the marathon event ran completely counter to the message Democrats were delivering.
Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), for instance, said during the event that “as a nation, we actually have to have a real priority at the highest level of government around what we eat and in terms of healthy eating because we have a problem in America.”
“I love cheeseburgers from time to time. I just do. And, but there has to be also what we do in terms of creating incentive that’s we will eat in a healthy way,” she said.

And South Bend mayor Pete Buttigieg says people who eat hamburgers or use plastic straws are “part of the problem.” But just after one his diatribes on CNN, the network cut to a Golden Corral commercial.
“Golden Corral’s juicy endless sirloin and saucy St. Louis-style ribs really put the ‘meat’ in ‘meet me in St. Louis,'” the ad said, flashing some slabs of red meat. “Endless sirloin and St. Louis-style ribs. Golden Corral. The only one for everyone.”
At another point, CNN cut away from the Chicken Littles decrying airplane travel to air ads for Priceline — which offers cheap flights — and another from Inspirato Pass, which calls itself “the world’s first luxury travel subscription.”
“Enjoy endless travel for $2,500 per month with no nightly rates, taxes, or fees. Browse thousands of luxury trips and custom experiences in hundreds of destinations around the world, all at an extraordinary value,” the ad said. “Inspirato Pass. Look. Book. Stay. Repeat.”
Several presidential candidates have endorsed Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal, which calls for doing away with airplanes and “create affordable public transit available to all, with goal to replace every combustion-engine vehicle.”
And the Democrats — including Socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders, who abhors “rich people” and the 1 Percent (forget that he owns three houses) — found their event was sponsored by Invesco QQQ, an independent investment management company with nearly $900 billion in assets.
