Almost a year after her husband passed away, Cindy McCain said the current Republican party is “not the party of Abraham Lincoln … nor the party of Ronald Reagan.”
Mrs. McCain also trashed the Trump Administration’s immigration policies and said that her late husband John McCain would be a “voice of reason” in the political climate today.
McCain sat down for an interview with ABC’s Jonathan Karl where she spoke about her late husbands so-called legacy and ability to work across the aisle.
And by working across the aisle she’s talking about John McCain flying all the way to DC only to give a theatrical thumbs down from the Senate floor when he voted against repealing Obamacare.
“That was a tough torch to carry and, as John said, there were many lonely days because he always said what was on his mind,” Cindy McCain said.
McCain added that her husband “never did anything deliberately to be hurtful or anything. … I don’t see anybody carrying that mantle at all, I don’t see anyone carrying the voice — the voice of reason.”
Cindy McCain didn’t call out Trump by name, but she trashed his immigration policies.
“You know this country is made up of immigrants,” she said. “We’re made up of people of every color, every creed, and that’s what makes us special.”
When asked by Jonathan Karl how she thought John McCain would have reacted to the “send her back” chants that broke out at Trump’s rally in North Carolina, referring to the “squad,” McCain said her husband “would not have accepted it.”
“I’m quite certain he would have spoke out about it,” she said. “These are American citizens — these are our citizens.”
Actually, overwhelming evidence suggests Rep. Ilhan Omar [Elmi] married her own brother to defraud US immigration, so there’s that.
McCain even hinted that the recent slew of mass shootings have to do with Trump even though there about three dozen mass shootings under Obama.
“These shootings are our response to this incivility, and our response to things that are occurring around them,” McCain said, adding, “All of this has to be taken into consideration in our country. I mean our country is not well right now, [and] we need to get our act together.”
McCain was a RINO of all RINOs and he peddled the fake Russia dossier along with the other Deep State coup plotters because he hated Donald Trump that much.
In fact, new Bruce Ohr 302s obtained by Judicial Watch reveal dossier author Christopher Steele was in direct contact with McCain’s office BEFORE the 2016 election, much earlier than previously known.

Cindy McCain tells @jonkarl that the late Sen. John McCain would be a "voice of reason," in politics today, "which is what we're sorely lacking right now...to be able to work across the aisle on these issues. That's how we worked for so many years." https://t.co/IFeGJ1Hv4m pic.twitter.com/5X7m824KQX— ABC News (@ABC) August 22, 2019
