Comey Lectures: Politicians and Candidates Should Stop Talking About Future Prosecutions – ‘Must be Apolitical’

Fired FBI Director James Comey on Saturday lectured politicians and candidates to not talk about future prosecutions after 2020 Dem darling Senator Kamala Harris said the DOJ would prosecute Trump if she were elected president.

Comey, who politicized the FBI, spearheaded the attempted coup against President Trump and destroyed the bureau trying to protect Hillary Clinton, actually had the nerve to lecture law enforcement on remaining “apolitical.”

“Political candidates and elected officials should not talk about the future prosecution of any individual. Law enforcement decisions must be apolitical,” Comey said.

2020 Democrat hopefuls Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA) and South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg both said if elected to the White House, they would support the DOJ criminally investigating Donald Trump.

“I believe that they would have no choice and that they should, yes,” Harris said.

“There has to be accountability,” Harris added. “I mean look, people might, you know, question why I became a prosecutor. Well, I’ll tell you one of the reasons. I believe there should be accountability. Everyone should be held accountable, and the president is not above the law.”

“My Justice Department will be empowered to reach its own conclusions — nobody is above the law,” Buttigieg told CNN’s Jake Tapper on Saturday, adding that President Trump believes he can just “dictate what the DOJ is gonna do.”
