We’ve all got our types. Whether it’s freckles, killer quads or a nice booty, there’s always that one thing that catches your eye.
We may vary on the specifics, but according to a recent study about “ideal” body types, we all kind of dig the same thing when it comes to body types.
2
TreadmillReviews asked 1,000 Americans to put together the most attractive body types by gender. The data was then used to create 3D images of what the people they surveyed came up with as the most attractive.
3
They even separated the results out based on generation. Millennials, Gen Xers and Baby Boomers all have their own category, but as you can see the results are all pretty much the same.
According to the data, the average “perfect man” stands at 6 feet tall, weighs around 190 pounds and works out six hours a week. On the woman side, she’s about 5’5 and slightly under 130 pounds.
4
They also asked the participants to share the most desirable body traits for both men and women. Brown hair and blue eyes clearly wins on both sides.
5
Body parts, however, varied much more. Face was #1 for both, but women said they preferred eyes and arms to any other body part while guys focus more on the butts and breasts.
Shocking, I know.
6
When asked if they had ever actually dated someone with their ideal body type, only a third of the participants said they had. A lot of them, however, had gotten in the ballpark range of their dream partner.
Women appear to be more willing than men to be with someone with a “very different” body type than they consider ideal… but to each their own, right?
