NRA Sends a ‘Warning Shot’ to the New York Times

In a recent episode of NRA TV radio host and National Rifle Association (NRA) spokesperson Dana Loesch threw down the gauntlet against The New York Times for their long history of leftist bias.
The episode, titled Taking on the Times, begins with showing a New York Times ad where they puffed themselves up as arbiters of "truth." Loesch scoffed at the ad, calling it "garbage" and highlighted an NRA TV video that slammed the Times for their bias on issues like Benghazi and crime in Chicago.
Times spokeswoman Eileen Murphy disputed this in a statement, insisting that the issues the NRA mentioned were "covered in deep and rich detail by Times reporters."
But Loesch wasn't having any of it.
"On September 11, 2012, you ran with the fake news that the terror attack in Benghazi was caused by a 14-minute movie trailer on YouTube," Loesch said. "You published that while men like Kris Paronto, John Tiegen and Mark Geist – contractors actually on the ground in Benghazi – set you straight that this was a terror attack.
"In fact, New York Times, you ever-dutiful shill for the Left, you get major brownie points for continuing Hillary Clinton's debunked blame game even after emails produced showed her admitting to her own daughter that this was not the result of a video, but rather a terror attack. Please tell me all about how you covered this in the story in deep, rich detail, while you're embarrassing your profession by continuing a narrative that your boss lady has given up already."
Loesch also excoriated the Times for covering the surging in crime in Chicago as a need for more gun control but omitting the fact that felony prosecutions have declined and lenient judges have allowed violent criminals to roam the streets. The Times also constantly uses the term "assault rifle" without defining it.
The American people are fed up with The New York Times spitting out nothing but leftist propaganda while pretending to objective, Loesch said, concluding the video with a warning to the paper.
"We're going to fisk The New York Times and find out just what 'deep, rich' means to this old gray hag, this untrustworthy dishonest rag that has subsisted on the welfare of mediocrity for one, two, three more decades," Loesch said. "We're going to laser-focus on your so-called honest pursuit of truth. In short, we're coming for you."
