White-Ass Joe Biden Claims Old White-Ass Segregationist Never Called Him ‘Boy’

Here’s a suggestion: If you are an old white man running for president and opponents and pundits claim that you’re out of touch and “old-fashioned,” you probably shouldn’t recall your work with segregationist senators as a fond memory of the good old days where people with differing opinions could talk to one another.
And when recalling this nostalgic allegory of how “back in your day” things were different, you really shouldn’t point out that the senator that didn’t want to integrate the South didn’t refer to your old white ass as “boy” and how he referred to you as “son.”

Unless of course, you are former Vice President Joe Biden. Then keep right on driving that old fogey ass story right off the cliff because this is who you are and it just keeps showing.
During a fundraiser in New York City on Tuesday, Obama’s BFF decided that he’d talk about the differences across party lines now versus when he was a senator in the 1970s and 1980s.
According to Yahoo, Biden—who is not black, black adjacent, mixed, black-ish, black-like or Justin Bieber—decided that it would be wise to share a story of how he worked with racial segregationists “like the Sens. James O. Eastland of Mississippi and Herman Talmadge of Georgia,” who Biden said was “one of the meanest guys I ever knew.”
“I was in a caucus with James O. Eastland,” Biden said, and then, because he really wanted to drive his point home, he switched to a Southern accent and noted that the senator “never called me ‘boy,’” a racial epithet demeaning to black men.
“He always called me ‘son,’” said Biden.
Does Joe Biden know that he’s a white man? Seriously, is Joseph R. Biden aware that he’s not black? I feel like former President Obama taught him the handshake and now Biden believes that he can sit at our table. Not sure why Biden would point out that a white man didn’t call him “boy” since it’s a racially demeaning epithet used to degrade black men, but that didn’t stop presidential hopeful Sen. Cory Booker, (D-N.J.), from gathering Biden’s ass up.
“You don’t joke about calling black men ‘boys.’ Men like James O. Eastland used words like that, and the racist policies that accompanied them, to perpetuate white supremacy and strip black Americans of our very humanity,” Booker wrote in a statement.
“Vice President Biden’s relationships with proud segregationists are not the model for how we make America a safer and more inclusive place for black people, and for everyone,” he continued.
From Yahoo:
Eastland, who was often referred to as the “the Godfather of Mississippi Politics,” was a wealthy plantation owner who opposed integration—the “mongrelization” of the races as he called it—and the civil rights movement during his long tenure as chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, which he led when Biden, a young self-proclaimed liberal from Delaware, was sworn in in 1973.
From 1956 through to his retirement in 1978, Eastland insisted on the blue-slip process, requiring that judicial nominees receive positive recommendations from both of their state’s senators before the nomination could be considered by the committee. The policy has been criticized as abusive and employed by Eastland to give veto power to himself and his fellow Southern senators to block nominees who were in favor of desegregation and civil rights.
Previously, when campaigning for Alabama Democrat Doug Jones in October 2017, Biden, in a call for bipartisanship, invoked his relationship with Eastland, who he said addressed the former lawmaker as “son” instead of “senator.”
“Even in the days when I got there, the Democratic Party still had seven or eight old-fashioned Democratic segregationists,” Biden said. “You’d get up and you’d argue like the devil with them. Then you’d go down and have lunch or dinner together. The political system worked. We were divided on issues, but the political system worked.
“At least there was some civility,” he said Tuesday, on the eve of Juneteenth, which commemorates when the last slaves were freed 2 1/2 years after the Emancipation Proclamation. “We got things done. We didn’t agree on much of anything. We got things done. We got it finished. But today you look at the other side and you’re the enemy. Not the opposition, the enemy. We don’t talk to each other anymore.”
“I know the new New Left tells me that I’m—this is old-fashioned,” the Democratic front-runner continued. “Well, guess what: If we can’t reach a consensus in our system, what happens? It encourages and demands the abuse of power by a president. That’s what it does. You have to be able to reach consensus under our system—our constitutional system of separation of powers.”
Biden is continuously showing America who he is and my hope is that this time, America believes him.

Janet Mock Makes History by Becoming the 1st Black Trans Woman to Sign Deal With a Major Studio

On June 19, 1865, history was made and the last enslaved black Americans gained their independence. Today, 154 years after emancipation, Janet Mock made history by becoming the first black trans woman to establish an overall deal with a major studio.

Obviously, I did not jest when I wrote that the cast of Pose is booked, busy, and blessed. According to Variety, the multi-hyphenated Mock has signed a three-year, multi-million dollar deal that will give Netflix exclusive rights to her future projects.
“As someone who grew up in front of the TV screen, whether that was watching talk shows or family sitcoms or VHS films, I never thought that I would be embraced,” Mock told Variety. Mock also stated that not only has she been given a seat at the table, but an entire table of her very own making.
Mock’s work has shown that she is not a one-trick pony. Time and time again, she has shown she has the range to create content that speaks to all walks of life. Inside this phenomenal woman lives a bevy of characters and stories waiting to be told. The doors that have been opened for her will serve as pavement for others who aspire to follow in her fashionable footsteps.
This deal is a major step in the right direction for the LGBTQ+ community. It affirms our worth and shows that there is value in not only our stories but our talent as well.

Nebraska school district to begin random nicotine testing on students to combat vaping

Administrators at Fairbury Public Schools in Nebraska have noticed an increase in students sneaking around with e-cigarettes and have devised a plan to cut down on vaping: Kids involved in extracurricular activities will now be subject to random nicotine testing, and those who test positive for the drug will be punished by having those on-campus privileges revoked.

The idea appears to be largely supported by the community, but some opponents say discipline over vaping is better left to parents.

What are the details?

Starting this fall, students who take on additional school activities such as National Honor Society or cheerleading in the rural district could be randomly selected to submit a urine sample for analysis. If nicotine shows up in their system, they are benched from their extracurricular activities for 10 days.

If a follow-up test shows nicotine again, offenders are banned for another 45 days, and must (at their own expense) be evaluated by a certified substance abuse counselor or licensed mental health provider, NBC News reported. On the third offense, the student's extracurricular privileges are revoked for a year, and they will be forced to spend their time outside the classroom in other ways.

The drug testing plan was devised after school officials noticed that from the 2017-2018 school year to 2018-2019, the number of students caught vaping went from seven to 30 in the district of 900 kids. The junior-senior high school has an enrollment of 383.

"It's a huge problem," Superintendent Stephen Grizzle told NBC. "And right now, I think it's new enough that we're being very naïve to think that more kids aren't doing it."

In explaining the reasoning behind the crackdown, Grizzle said, "Our main concern is that number one, [vaping is] unhealthy. Number two, it's against the law: they are not supposed to be able to purchase cigarettes and vaping and all that. I think it would stand to reason that it would get in the way of opportunities and educational experiences if they're focused more on when they can vape as opposed to what's going on in the classroom."

According to The Washington Post, the school district is also considering the installation of WiFi-enabled vape detectors in its bathrooms as an additional deterrent, which can cost as much as $1,000 apiece.

Anything else?

Local newspaper Fairbury Journal-News posted a Facebook poll to gauge public opinion on adding nicotine to the district's drug testing program, and as of this writing, 70 percent of the 686 voters said they were in favor of the action.

Several respondents praised the plan, with one commenting they weren't sure "how anyone could see this as a bad thing," while another argued "this is not the school's place. It's a parental issue."

Armed good Samaritan comes to cop's rescue after inmate takes officer's gun, shoots her during transport from jail, witness says

An armed good Samaritan played a critical role in rescuing a police officer who was shot in Missouri last week, according to a woman who identified herself as a witness.
The woman — whose Facebook post about Friday's incident in Winston has been shared over 3,000 times — said "five men risked their lives to save a wounded police officer in distress."

Michelle Weller added to her post that "one of these men was armed and was able to defend himself and others without even firing his weapon just by pointing it at the suspect! If it hadn't been for that law-abiding citizen carrying his weapon with him for defense this situation could have ended up very differently and more people could have been hurt."

What happened?

Officer Jasmine Diab had been transporting an inmate — identified as Jamey Aaron Griffin — from a Trenton jail to Mosaic Hospital in St. Joseph when Griffin got Diab's gun and shot her in the stomach, WDAF-TV reported, adding that Griffin was shot in the hand.

"The vehicle by that time came to kind of a rolling stop on U.S. 69 Highway," Missouri Highway Patrol Trooper Jake Angle told the station. "There were some citizens there at the Pit Stop convenience store ... that I suppose sensed something wasn't right [who] came over to her aid and subdued the suspect until other law enforcement could arrive."

WDAF noted that one of those good Samaritans was legally armed with a gun.
"In this case, they chose to intervene and come to an officer's aid and subdue the suspect ... possibly keeping him from escaping or doing more harm," Angle added to the station. "So, I'm not advocating that people ... intervene in a situation at this level, however, people chose to and in this situation ... it was critical."

What else did the witness say?

Weller added on Facebook that because one of the good Samaritans "had his weapon these men were able to grab the suspect, pull him out of the car, and hold him down on the ground until officers arrived on the scene."

What happened to Diab?

Diab had surgery Sunday and couldn't speak but could blink and open her eyes, KCTV-TV reported; according to WDAF, her condition was upgraded from critical to stable.

Among those who gathered outside the Trenton Police Department on Monday show their support for Diab were friends who noted the officer is a single mother of a toddler girl, KCTV added.

"Probably one of the best mothers," Kendra Lickteig told the station. "She loves her daughter. I mean, every mom loves their daughter, but that daughter is her baby. So proud of everything she does."

A Facebook group called Helping Jasmine Diab indicated she was able to hold her daughter's hand Sunday as well, KCTV said, adding that a GoFundMe page has been set up for monetary donations to Diab.

What happened to the inmate?

Griffin was charged with first degree assault, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon, WDAF said, adding that the incident remains under investigation.

Camera Caught Gunman’s Panicked Expression Right Before Good Guy with a Gun Evened the Odds

There was an attempted mass shooting in downtown Dallas on Monday, but thankfully, the only person shot and killed was the would-be mass murderer himself.
The Dallas Morning News reported that the gunman, identified as 22-year-old Brian Issac Clyde, showed up Monday morning outside the Earl Cabell Federal Building while wearing a mask, tactical vest and belt, and bearing an AR-15-style semi-automatic rifle with at least five 30-round magazines.
The gunman reportedly opened fire on the front entrance of the federal building, which houses federal courts, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas, a U.S. Marshal’s Service office and other federal agency offices.
In other words, the place was crawling with armed federal agents and law enforcement officers, who quickly returned fire on the gunman and hit him.
The gunman retreated to a nearby parking lot and died at the scene from the wounds he’d received. Nobody else was injured.

In his haste to attack the building, the gunman almost ran right into a photojournalist for The Dallas Morning News who’d been about to enter to cover a trial.
The photographer, Tom Fox, captured an incredible photograph of the assailant that revealed a look of fear and panic in the shooter’s eyes as he fumbled with his rifle and magazines.

DMN staff photographer @TomFoxPhoto captured this image shortly before a gunman opened fire on the Earle Cabell Federal Building Monday morning in downtown Dallas. Fox was waiting to enter the building to cover a trial when the attack took place. https://bit.ly/2XofZ0q

Amazingly, the gunman either didn’t notice or chose to ignore the journalist, who took cover behind a pillar that jutted out as an alcove near the door while shots rang out as the gunman and authorities exchanged fire right next to him.
Raw video from a witness in an elevated position in a nearby building caught part of the shooting. Fox can be seen tucked away in the alcove while the gunman exchanged fire with police and then scrambled for cover of his own in a parking lot across the street.
There, he ultimately drew his last breath while surrounded by some of the agents and officers he had just been trying to murder.
Check it out here:

Thus far, it is unclear what sort of motive the gunman had for his attempted mass shooting, though an investigation is continuing. Little is known of him, as he was not on any watch list and doesn’t appear to have a criminal record, according to KDFW.
He served in the U.S. Army from August 2015 to February 2017, according to The Dallas Morning News. He was honorably discharged.
One major point that everyone should focus on in this incident is how this would-be killer’s rampage was rapidly brought to a halt without any harm coming to innocent people because of the numerous “good guys with guns” in the vicinity.
It isn’t difficult to imagine that this could have been a vastly different and far more tragic story if the gunman had chosen a different venue for his attack, such as a “soft target” like a school or shopping mall or virtually anywhere else besides a federal building.
Thankfully, this guy picked a target that was bristling with armed good guys who didn’t hesitate to put the bad guy on the ground with well-placed shots of their own, ending the shooting almost as quickly as it had begun.
Now, imagine for a moment that our nation’s schools were not undefended “soft targets” that a gunman could shoot up at his leisure, but instead enjoyed the protection of even a fraction of the armed lawmen that were in and around that federal building in Dallas.
That is an achievable reality, via the voluntary arming and training of teachers and staff, or through the hiring of armed and trained guards, be they off-duty or retired police officers and military veterans.
If bad guys intent on death and destruction were to be gunned down themselves before they were able to harm any innocent individuals, as was the case here, it stands to reason that there will eventually be fewer bad guys attempting mass shootings at locations that are known to be well-defended.

Vietnamese illegal immigrant faces deportation AGAIN after he was caught growing cannabis for a THIRD time when police busted £3million factory at luxury farmhouse

An illegal Vietnamese immigrant has been jailed for running a £3million cannabis factory from a luxury farmhouse in a picturesque village.
More than 500 cannabis plants were seized after police swooped on the secluded farmhouse in leafy Downton on the Rock, near Ludlow in Shropshire.
Hanh Nguyen, 37, originally from Vietnam, was caught trying to run from the remote farmhouse and was arrested at the scene.
A court heard how he faced deportation from the UK once again, having been caught producing cannabis three times previously.
Officers were stunned when they found an industrial-sized cannabis farm being run from the sprawling property on May 15.

The haul was estimated to be capable of making the criminal gang behind the operation around £3million a year.
He claimed he had only been there for a day but he later went on to plead guilty to production of cannabis at Shrewsbury Crown Court.
The court heard Nguyen had entered the UK illegally, having first arrived in 2004 and was deported in 2012 for previous cannabis offences.

On Tuesday, he was jailed for three years and was told he would be deported back to Vietnam upon his release.
Judge Jonathan Gosling said: 'This is now the second time you have come illegally to this country and the third time you have been caught cultivating cannabis.
'I accept that this was not your operation. You didn't set it up but you were a very valuable helper and you were doing it for money.'
Prosecutor Fiona Cortese said that the farmhouse was rented to three individuals other than Nguyen from June 2018.
Police visited in May this year to investigate the drugs operation and surrounded the building before storming the property.
Inside they found 531 cannabis plants, spread throughout five of the house's six bedrooms, and cut plants being dried in the sixth.
Miss Cortese said: 'This defendant was seen running from the rear door towards open fields. He tripped over and was arrested by police.
'There was nobody else present at the address.
'Inside the property was a commercial-scale cannabis operation. In total there were 531 cannabis plants.'
On searching the farmhouse police also found four vacuum-packed bags of cannabis and £350 in cash behind a sofa.
Jamie Scott, defending, said his client had been trafficked to the UK via China, and once he arrived in London was tasked with running the cannabis operation.

Rainbow pride flag replaces POW/MIA flag at veterans memorial plaza — and public outcry is ignited

Veteran John "Bill" Williams recalled to WRC-TV that he was in Vietnam just six days before two fellow service members were shot down, declared missing in action, "and they still haven't found their bodies."

Such losses are why the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Plaza in Rockville, Maryland, means so much to Williams.

And it's also why he was upset that the plaza's POW/MIA flag was replaced with an LGBTQ rainbow flag for pride month, the station said.

"I wasn't happy about it at all because the park is supposed to be a veterans park," Williams told WRC. "People died. Now they took it down and put another flag up."
He added to the station, "If they want to put the other flag underneath, they could put it underneath, but the POW flag should be flying there."

What's the background?

It was the first time a rainbow pride flag flew at the Veterans Memorial Plaza, which is outside the Montgomery County executive office building, WRC said.

Montgomery County Council member Evan Glass, the council's first LGBTQ member, helped celebrate the raising of the pride flag last week, the station added.

Backlash

But WRC noted that the flag switch ignited public outcry — and Glass said things would be smoothed over.

"The flag post was only able to accommodate one flag, and when we learned of that, we are quickly, the county government, is quickly changing it," he told the station. "So we're adding more ringlets so that by tomorrow morning both flags will be raised."

The POW/MIA flag indeed was raised again as the rainbow pride flag continued to fly, County Executive Mark Elrich told WRC.

The rainbow flag will be up during June for pride month, the station said, while the POW/MIA flag will fly permanently.
