Woman's lesbian lover and her mother 'beat her three-year-old son to death with a plastic rod because they caught him drinking from a milk jug'

Xavier Mokarzel-Satchel was brutally beaten with a plastic wand inside a Pine Hills Apartment Friday in an attack that killed the 3-year-old boy, records show.
Records detailing the abuse were released overnight and also revealed prior mistreatment the child faced.
Lakesha Lewis and her mother, Callene Barton, are facing first-degree felony murder and aggravated child abuse charges, jail records show. Xavier’s mother, Brandi Mokarzel, is charged with neglect of a child.
Xavier’s father Jaquan Satchel, lives in Spokane, Wash., and said he hadn’t seen his son in two years. He was dating Mokarzel for about four years before they separated and she moved away.
Over the years, he said they had family arguments involving custody of Xavier, and Satchel said he was trying to save up money to pursue full custody of his son, who loved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Peppa Pig.
“The kid was a ball of sunshine,” said Satchel, 27. “Every day was amazing. I got to joke and laugh with him.”
In Pine Hills, the violence began early Friday, records show.
Mokarzel was awakened to the sound of Barton yelling at Xavier for drinking milk from a jug and eating yogurt, a sheriff’s office arrest report states.
It was then that Lewis, 28, grabbed the wand used to operate blinds, and delivered blows to the child until the plastic piece broke.
Mokarzel grabbed her son and ran back to her bedroom, records show, but Barton came after them and grabbed Xavier by his arm and leg and tossed him down the hallway.
The little boy began to shake like he was having a seizure, records show.
Barton, 58, and Lewis tried to revive him by splashing water on his face, deputies said.

Mokarzel tried to call the police, but Barton knocked the phone from her hand and said she would “end” Mokarzel if she called police because Barton didn’t want to lose another child to Child Protective Services, records show.
Lewis’ 4-year-old son was also living in the apartment and was placed in custody of the Florida Department of Children and Families, deputies said.
It is unclear whether she had a second child who was taken by protective services.
Court records show Barton previously pleaded guilty to a child abuse charge in Orange County. She was sentenced to two days in jail and a year of probation, documents show. The details of the case were not available Sunday.
Mokarzel, 23, ran to a neighbor’s unit at Eagle Landing Apartments at 4514 Silver Star Road and called authorities. When she returned, Xavier was on his back with food coming from his nose, the report states.
Deputies arrived at the apartment just after noon Friday and found Xavier barely breathing.
He was transported to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and was pronounced dead at 4:35 p.m.
Doctors said Xavier had bruises that were healing — signs of past abuse. Mokarzel told investigators that the boy had been hit by the women before.
Barton and Lewis are in Orange County Jail held without bond, while Mokarzel is also jailed on $2,500 bond.
For Satchel, being so far away has been the hardest part in coping with the tragic news of his son’s death.
He said he plans to talk with detectives about the case and is seeking justice for his son, and wants the women held accountable.
“Every night I dream about him,” Satchel said. “The kid looks exactly like me — we have the same exact attitude.”
Xavier's mother, Brandi Mokarzel, was charged with neglect of a child.
