An unnamed Florida woman is reportedly being investigated by local law enforcement and child services after allegedly allowing a snake to repeatedly bite her one-year-old daughter. The woman later shared the video on Facebook and after it went viral, law enforcement stepped in to investigate.
Tampa Bay’s ABC Action News reported that the woman in question has “no regrets” and, instead, insisted that in allowing the snake to bite her daughter taught her a “valuable lesson.”
“It had bitten me and my son and didn’t leave a mark, several times,” she said. “I thought it was a good opportunity to introduce her without actually getting hurt. People are too sensitive.”
The woman insisted that the baby was not injured by the snake because the snake’s fangs did not pierce the child’s flesh.
“People who know me know that I would never hurt my children,” she insisted.
The video has been removed from Facebook, but it is unclear whether or not the woman was charged with any crimes to date.
