Retired NYPD Cop Sees Photo of Ft Lauderdale Shooting Aftermath & Spots a Detail Most Missed

A retired NYPD homicide detective looked at the coverage of last week's Ft. Lauderdaleairport shooting and delivered a message on Twitter that was so powerful, he was “overwhelmed by the response” he got to it.
Rob O'Donnell is now a security consultant and director of public safety for a town in Northeast Pennsylvania.
He tweets a lot of pro-cop messages, like this one about a Florida police officer killed in the line of duty:
Here's one about Officer Darren Wilson who shot Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri. Wilson was exonerated of any wrongdoing, and now hides in obscurity on a “dead end street.”
O'Donnell gave special attention to the Ft. Lauderdale shooting, in which six people were shot, five of whom died:
But it was one of the public safety officer's related posts that got a lot of attention, with more than 18,000 retweets and nearly 36,000 people who liked the message.
O'Donnell told Independent Journal Review that he's sick of the cop bashing:
“As of late ,supporting the police has become unpopular and the trolls and the false narrative pushers seem to have been allowed the louder voice via the mainstream media.”
He says he saw this photo of the Ft. Lauderdale shooting and was moved to mention something most people wouldn't see:
This is what he wrote:
“Ft Lauderdale: I see black/white/latino/male/female/child/adult all with one thing in common. A Police Officer risking all to protect them.”
He told Independent Journal Review that as an NYPD homicide detective he attended “a dozen of my friends' funerals after 9/11,” so he knows the gravity of the job and its sacrifices:
"My wife was 7 months pregnant when 9/11 took place, [she] begged me to come home because I said my goodbyes to her and my son. I did this to help strangers of all races, colors, and creeds.
This is what we do. Are we 100% perfect? Absolutely not. But because 0.02 step out of line, why are we all police the targets? This is exactly what the BLM and such are against: profiling. Why is that stereotype OK but the fact via the FBI, that a black male is 9 times more likely to commit a violent crime, and that his victim is most likely to be black, not?"
Thousands of people, such as this New York state senator, supported the tweet's message:
“Brooke” gave all cops an atta boy:
This retired federal officer gave it a thumbs up:
But there were a lot of folks who told O'Donnell that it was just part of the job and nothing special.
“Kev-Sama” was pushing that point:
“Maverick Hughes” decided to issue a throw-down which was widely applauded, judging by those who retweeted it:
“White Wolf” thought the people being covered by the cop were “actors”:
O'Donnell gave Independent Journal Review this message for the 'it's your job' detractors:
“[N]o department policy ever states to open yourself to imminent physical danger, but Law Enforcement all over this country do 100s of times daily. Look at Dallas, we were being protested and once the shots rang targeting us, the police, we shielded and protected all lives.”
He told us that “the message is the true facts that I've seen in my 25 years in law enforcement: all lives matter. Always have, always will.”

  2. Uh, there was no shooting. Real journalists on YouTube have proven this over and over and over. Fuck the pigs involved. They are terrorists and need to be shot in the fucking head. Death to all terrorists and their supporters. Probably you or some stupid brainwashed cunt that is your friend or family. Fuck them for terrorizing us with this fake shooting crap.
