Guy Shuts Down Friend's Obamacare Rant By Pointing Out He's On Obamacare

With Donald Trump soon in office, the future of the Affordable Care Act, or 'Obamacare' as Republicans have taken to calling it, is in doubt. And so are the millions of people with pre-existing conditions that use it to get health insurance.
And rather ironically, many of those calling for its downfall actually use the program in one way or another, they just don't know it. For example, the bill also stopped insurance companies from being able to charge women more than men.
Take this example from Reddit user Swagged_Out_Custar, who shared a discussion a friend of his had with one of his contacts on Facebook. The person in question recently posted to the site celebrating the Senate taking the first step to repeal the bill. But it quickly turned south...

Swagged_Out_Custar says that the mutual friend has made his Facebook profile private and hasn't been online since this all went down. We can't imagine why.
Reddit commenters were pretty impressed with the stupidity on display.
One commenter wrote: "I bet this kid raced to google ready to come back with a smug response to school the other two on how the ACA is different from Obamacare and then that slow sinking realization of stupidity just came washing over as he desperately looked for any source that would vindicate his belief."
"This is like 60% of USA's problems summed up right here," another said.

  1. There were good things in the ACA. But in order to get them, we had to agree to pay through the nose for them. I happen to believe any politician who said the bill was designed to reduce costs was either lying or was misinformed.
